Location: Dublin
Type: Full-Time
Salary: €60,000 – €75,000

A growing technology-led organisation is strengthening its internal IT and security capability as cloud usage scales and compliance requirements mature. This role sits at the intersection of IT operations, cloud governance, and security controls, working alongside outsourced providers while owning structure, oversight, and continuous improvement internally. The environment is cloud-heavy, SaaS-driven, and subject to increasing audit and regulatory expectations.

The Role

You’ll act as the internal technical anchor for IT operations and cloud governance. Day to day, this involves coordinating service delivery, tightening security controls across cloud platforms, and building clear documentation and processes to support audit, risk, and compliance activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as internal escalation point for IT issues, coordinating with external IT providers

  • Support user lifecycle management, access provisioning, and device administration

  • Maintain accurate inventories across hardware, SaaS platforms, and cloud accounts

  • Review cloud environments (M365, Azure, AWS, Google Workspace) for access, configuration, and security gaps

  • Define and document cloud governance standards covering access, change, backup, and retention

  • Support implementation and maintenance of an ISO 27001-aligned ISMS

  • Assist with risk assessments, access reviews, audit evidence, and remediation tracking

  • Monitor endpoint security, patching, and device compliance

  • Develop IT and security policies, procedures, and operational runbooks

  • Produce regular reporting on system health, risk posture, and improvement initiatives

Skills & Experience

  • 4–6 years in IT operations, systems administration, or cloud-focused roles

  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and SaaS environments

  • Working knowledge of security fundamentals, risk management, and compliance frameworks

  • Experience supporting audits or regulated environments

  • Strong documentation, process design, and organisational skills

  • Comfortable working with third-party IT providers and internal stakeholders

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to ISO 27001, GDPR, or NIST-aligned controls

  • Familiarity with ITIL-style service management

  • Security or cloud certifications (Security+, SC-900, ISO 27001 training)

  • Interest in improving governance around cloud-native platforms and identity controls
